Leeds Bradford International Airport has recently introduce free parking for up to an hour in two of its long stay car parks but has at the same time introduced a £2 fee for people using the pick-up and drop-off area at the front of the main terminal building.

Previously drivers could enter the pick-up and drop-off area and remain there for up to ten minutes free of charge or pay £4 for 30 minutes but now any vehicle picking up or dropping off passengers in this area will be charged £2 and an automatic number plate recognition system is in use with drivers being asked to pay as they leave.

LCS offer meet and greet parking to save you the hassle of finding the car park and locate a parking bay.

After booking online you telephone LCS 10 minutes before your arrival at the airport and one of their chauffeurs will help you unload your luggage and then take your car to their secure car park so you only have to walk 125 yards to the terminal entrance.

On your return you call LCS once you have collected your luggage and they’ll return your car to the terminal building within 6 minutes. They also have a valet service to clean your car whilst you’re away.

The price we were quoted on their website for 7 days was £49 for their standard service.

Sentinel is Leeds Bradford International Airport’s approved off-site car park.

They are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have security guards, CCTV systems, floodlights and barbed wire fencing to protect your vehicle. Sentinel run their own courtesy buses from their car park to the terminal building. Being only 1/2 a mile from the terminal building this transfer takes approximately 2 minutes.

Their rates are from £4 per day but they do have a minimum £24 charge and and additional £10 is payable if your vehicle is significantly larger than a car.

Leeds Bradford International Airport’s has several on-site car parks which offer secure parking with 24 hour CCTV surveillance.

Long Stay Car Parks 1 & 2 are the best value if you need to leave your car for longer than 24 hours. You can pre-book or just turn up (pre-booking online is cheaper though). A courtesy shuttle bus will then take you to the terminal building.

The short stay and business car park is only 2-3 minutes walk from the terminal building and again pre-booking is cheaper but if you’re staying longer than 24 hours this isn’t the cheapest car park.

The Drop-Off and Pick Up Zone allows you to drop off or collect passengers however you only have 10 minutes in which to do so otherwise you will incur parking charges.
